About IMP
Feb 11th, 2009 by improvmonologueproject
The IMPROV MONOLOGUE PROJECT was started in May of 2007. The project was designed to challenge improvisers to perform in a new medium - on camera instead of in front of a live audience.
The conceit of the project was that all the performers are given the the same things to start with: an unknown location, some type of prop (object or costume) and a 2-minute time limit.
Eventually there will be improvisers from all over the world on the site, but for now, our focus will be Canada.
AND… People will be able to submit their monologues soon…

Hey guys,
LOVE the idea! I found the ad on Facebook (between the 6 eyed baby and “my new girldfriend”) and decided to check it out. Its great to see everyone I remember from Improv Camp and the videos are awesome. Hopefully I can submit something soon. One question. Is there a certain way to go about the suggestions or are you basing this off of the honor rule?
Take care and congrats!,
–Ryan
Totally Honour system my man!
Improvisers always know when it’s not legit.
What a great idea! I just got done watching all the posted videos and laughed my ass off. I’ll be sure to send a video in. Not sure if you have one from the States yet? I’d like to change that:) Keep up the good work!

Great! Change it! Shoot something and we’ll toss it up for sure! Make sure you check out our submission guidelines!
Great idea, Mike! Really digging the submissions thus far. We’ll have to see what we can do to get the ATL represented on here!
Awesome idea. I was already going to write something for my blog about the art of improv.
You have already given me more motivation and will be definitely be including a link to you site from my site.
Thanks for the inspiration.
Awesome, I am going to give it a go. Ireland needs to up its improv ante
